Welcome to our most popular and frequently visited community resource!
Here you can access a large number of change management tools and templates. Many of these are free (but you will still need to subscribe to a tool before you can access it - see the explanation below under "More than just downloads"), while some may be accessed at a small charge.
Finding tools
- Under the overall "Change Management Tools" category, where you will find more generic tools, four sub-categories have been created to assist you in finding the tools you need: Tools for change facilitators; Tools for change leaders ; Tools for individuals who experience change and Tools for day-to-day change. Where a particular tool fits into more than one of these categories, cross-references have been inserted.
- In addition to browsing through the different categories, you can also enter keywords in the "Search community resources" search box at the top right-hand side of the page.
More than just downloads
- When you subscribe to a tool, you also gain access to a virtual community of practice where you will receive news regarding updates and new versions, can share your experience and thoughts, exchange tips and tricks, ask questions or simply network with other change practitioners using the tool.
- Tool users are encouraged to rate the useability of tools and to make suggestions for improvement of the tools.
Something to contribute?
- If you would like to contribute one or more of your own tools please send a mail to tools@change-management-toolbook.com and we will contact you to set this up.

How to Lead Change E-Book: A Toolkit to Make Ideas Happen
The toolkit is about engaging employees, influencing change, and delivering results. You will learn the essential building blocks to design change, design ideas, that people understand, talk about, willingly adopt, and even celebrate. Get the change right, get the design right, and people will follow. This book doesn’t require you to stop using conventional change management practices, though it challenges you to rethink how you go about it. In the end, you will have a framework, structure, and plan to make and sustain change in your business. Riverfork Consulting.
- "New Stories from the Field" is a collection of case studies on the application of Open Space Technology from around the world.
- "Over the years, I have developed several different approaches to a planning workshop. This is one I have used quite successfully." - Holger Nauheimer
- This survey ran from August until September 2004. It queried views on the application of Change Management, the competitive advantage of its different methodologies, its drawbacks and its prospects. We collected a total of 562 completed questionnaires. Background of the respondents covers the entire spectrum in which we operate - private business, public services, development agencies, NGOs, universities, and so forth. 45% of the survey's responses come from outside North America and Europe, indicating that Change Management has no borders and is relevant throughout the world.
