Detailed Programme

The program of the f2f is structured as follows:

  1. Content. There is a central case that generates the working material. Themes related to the unit can be identified in the case. Content focus (application of knowledge) will be achieved by relating the assignments to the case; process focus (attitudes and behaviour) will be achieved through exercises, feedback and sharing.
  2. Process. The program offers a process with a spiral learning curve whereby participants receive theoretical background, work on assignments, get feedback and share reflections. Each unit is designed to be a building block for the next.
  3. Competences. The program addresses various levels of knowledge, behaviour, attitudes and wisdom belonging to the change facilitator.
  4. Didactics. Each unit consists of a case assignment related to the central case (on individual, team or group level), an introductory lecture by the trainers on the theme of the unit, a content/process evaluation and a sharing experience. Evaluation will have the character of feedback; sharing will have the character of personal exchanges of experience (no tips or recommendations)
  1. Role of the trainers. Trainers will deliver introductory lectures, monitor the process, facilitate the exercises, give feedback and facilitate the sharing sessions.
  2. Learning. Learning takes place on two levels: what happens on the client level, based on the case (1) what happens on participant’s level based on experiences in the process (2). Individual learning will take place on several levels: Awareness of how the individual consultant acts in different situations, looking at the reasons why the consultant acts in certain manners, and the chance of seeing if other manners are possible. Individual learning will be monitored by relating feedback and sharing to initial self-assessment survey results. Group learning will be stimulated through plenary reflection and sharing at the end of Unit-sessions. Roles and attitudes of the change facilitator (Unit 7) will thus be under focus throughout the program.
  3. Teams. The case will be worked on in teams in order to explore and enhance team learning.
